- The king tricks everyone in the church into giving him money for a crew and ship. This is a form of satire because Mark Twain is trying to show how people in society are too gullible.
- Huckleberry Finn introduces his father by stating how he used to be scared of his father because he used to beat him. This is a form of satire because Mark Twain is trying to bring to light how parents were too abusive toward their children.
- Huckleberry Finn comes home and he feels uncomfortable when he is dressed and cleaned up. This is a form of satire because Mark Twain is trying to show how it doesn't matter how one changes the physical appearance of a person, the true personality and inner self of the person will always shine through.
