AMERICAN ANTI-SLAVE SOCIETY:
The American Anti-Slavery Society was a group who denounced slavery as a sin, pushed for non violence, and condemned racial prejudice. By 1835, the group received moral and financial support from northern African American communities and it spread throughout the free states.
